Teenagers are going through a massive amount of change in how they think.  That shapes everything from their social structures to their emotional experience, and certainly, their faith.  Understanding these realities can greatly increase your effectiveness as a volunteer youth worker.

Leading A Small Group:

Being a great small group leader with teenagers isn't rocket science. But it's more than hanging out.  We'll talk about different approaches to small groups, how to lead effective discussions, and what a "win" looks like.

Understanding and Working with Parents of Teenagers:

Teenagers don't live in a vacuum!  Their parents and families will have a much bigger impact on them than we will, and even more than their peers will.  We'll help you grow in your understanding of parents; and we'll talk about practical ways you can come alongside parents in ways that make sense for volunteer youth workers.
